About Us
We
are Bob and Gail, along with Brandon, who is twelve years old, and an
ever-changing herd of horses. Between all of us riders, we have over 90 years of
experience with horses, and that includes 7 years of riding for Brandon. Gail
started riding in her twenties, and we won’t say how long ago that was.

Bob
got on his first horse in 1953. Our farm is 30 acres in Carlisle, PA USA. Today
everyone wants to know what kind of barn you have. Is it a show barn? A this
barn, or a that barn? When pressed for an answer, we say we are a horse sports
barn.
We
like equine athletes. Whether it is fox hunting, rodeo, polo, eventing, team
penning, endurance riding or any of the equine sports, we like it. Over the
years we have done a lot with horses and that has given us the ability to find
some of the common denominators in equine athletes. Bob is fond of saying things
like, “Polo, played well, is dressage at 30 mile per hour.“ Gail has come to
enjoy gaited horses for their comfort and ability to cover ground. We train
jumpers and polo horses, and our cross country course is a great way to start
jumpers. We even train every one of our polo horses to jump. It lightens them
up, and develops their
timing and balance.
When
we came to Carlisle we decided to build a cross country jumping course, partly
out of pure enjoyment, and partly because there was not a course near by. We
have been building the cross country course since moving here seven years ago.
The course is built to have the feel of the older more natural courses, with
stone, timber, earth, and lumber jumps, and winding gallops in the woods. At this
point there are more than fifty jumps ranging from small schooling obstacles, to
a few serious banks, ditches and fences.
We
designed the course for training young horses and testing mature trained horses.
It is not intended as a competition course, but rather for training horses.
Riders who visit find the course well above the level of the average "back
yard" course. The course is almost two miles long with varied terrain, open
gallops. Much of it is cut through oak and pine woods. In the next phase we will
be building a substantial water jump.
We also operate a tack and equipment website www.equineequip.com. Our goal with the website is to provide the best value for the best price in horse equipment. We realize that most riders are trying to get the most for their money, and still get safe, useful, and lasting items. We literally look all over the world for products that meet this criteria.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our Triple Creek Farm website.
