October 21 - Clinic ADULT Dressage Sportif -- Applied Dressage Riding
Bob Wood & Lynn Wood

Dressage Sportif is a term used at the French Cavalry School at Saumur. It means the application of dressage principles to field riding. Effective riders in fox hunting and cross country jumping and other demanding sports ride much of the time in the irons, while key transitions, striding, and bends are usually ridden in a deeper seat employing universal dressage principles and techniques. This Dressage Sportif clinic focuses on riding and jumping over terrain using active riding from the irons and essential dressage techniques in the seat. Of equal importance are the transitions from seat to irons.

If you have been taught to ride passively in the irons, such as in the common “two point”, or have not yet explored the application of basic dressage principles applied to riding terrain or cross country this clinic can be a real eye-opener and has the potential of moving your riding substantially forward to the next level.

For advanced beginner to intermediate riders.
